Gorsuch posse breaks apart over fears about Vigilance Committee spying

The Gorsuch slave-catching posse, on the heels of Edward Gorsuch of Maryland's runaway slaves in Pennsylvania, loses some of its members as concerns about Samuel Williams, the Philadelphia Vigilance Committee agent who had trailed the group begin to grow.  Two policeman refuse to continue the hunt over fears that their plans had been exposed.
