In Frederick, Maryland, the state's House of Delegates votes down secession

Meeting at the Kemp House in Frederick, the Maryland House of Delegates voted 53 to 13 against secession.  Earlier, the State Senate had published a letter stating that it would not take up the matter. (By John Osborne)
