Prince of Wales begins his undergraduate career at Oxford University

Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, began his first term at Oxford as a member of Christ Church College in October 1859.  He was to spend several terms as student, living with his aide-come-chaperone Colonel Bruce in a house on the university grounds known as Frewen Hall. (By John Osborne)
