WARREN COUNTY, situated on the west boundary of Mississippi, with Mississippi river on the west, the Big Block on the southeast, and traversed by Yazoo river. Area, 600 square miles. Face of the country, uneven; soil, generally fertile. Seat of justice, Vicksburgh. Pop. in 1810, 1,114; in 1820, 2,693; in 1830, 7,861; in 1840, 15,820; in 1850, 18,121.
