Stamm, John S.

John S. Stamm was born on April 11, 1838 in Hinkletown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Stamm did not enlist in the military after graduation. He taught in Goshen, Orange County, New York for a year after graduation and after some years as a member to the Church of God, he was sent to Centralia, Kansas to take charge of a projected college. He died in Centralia on January 4, 1871. (By Brandon Rothenberg)
