    Phila June 14 1847
    Rev R Emory
    In Your Ungentlemanly Letter [illegible] see this morning
    You a/c is for No 214 to 233 inclusion 50 ct
    And your paper is stopped
    It is due to Prof McClintock % Myself to say that the extraxt publish to what you refer was slipped from one of our [exchange?] papers as a news item he its out particular noticing its unjust hearing upon him. I exceedingly regret its appearance but to late to correct in the same paper. I however immediately counteracted any evil consequences so far as the Reposting is concerned by expressing my regret that it should have been published and that I [illegible] it an unjust implication of one who is above an act of this kind all of what will be publish this week
