Greene County, Ohio, 1857
GREENE COUNTY, situated toward the southwesterly part of Ohio, and traversed by Little Miami and Mad rivers. Area, 400 square miles. Face of the country pleasantly diversified; soil fertile, and well cultivated. Seat of justice, Xenia. Pop. in 1830, 14,801; in 1840, 17,528; in 1850, 22,946. (Fanning's, 1853)
