Lincoln sues railroad company to obtain $5,000 legal fee

Abraham Lincoln sued the Illinois Central Railroad company in order to obtain a $5,000 legal fee for his work in the McLean County tax case.  The company did not initially contest the suit and Lincoln received a directed verdict in his favor. (By Matthew Pinsker)
