18. Walked out. Read Emerson. Went to hear Mr. Carr preached with Judge P., as it was "Good Friday." The coldest affair yet which I've seen in the church way. There were many fat girls there who didn't behave remarkably well. At night the choir met at Mr. Stonestreet's. Went with the Misses P. Enjoyed myself very much. Staid all night at W.S.'s.
