Statue of Andrew Jackson unveiled in Washington, D.C.

Sculptor Clark Mills' statue of General Andrew Jackson on horseback is unveiled in Lafayette Park in Washington, D.C.  It is the first bronze equestrian statute erected in the United States. (By John Osborne)
