The following text is presented here in complete form, as it originally appeared in print. Spelling and typographical errors have been preserved as in the original.

Mammoth California Trees. - A new mammoth tree has been discovered in California, 112 feet in circumference and 400 feet high. It still stands, the monarch of the wood, but a monster lies prostrate at its side, through whose hollow trunk a party recently rode the whole length "on horseback." So says the correspondent of the San Francisco Bulletin, and we tell the tale as 'tis told by him.
