Dear Col-
About three or four years ago the question of Abolishing Capital Punishment was before the legislature, and there was a Majority and Minority report from the select committee. I want those reports badly-particularly the one in favor of the abolition-and will feel a thousand times obliged to you if you can furnish them to me by to-morrow or next day I can't give any directions as to where they can be found, and do not even know whether they can be found at all; but if they can, I will be most thankful for them. I recd your letter last evening-all right. Yours truly A K McClure
Col Eli Slifer
