Dear Col-
I recd two letters from you on Friday-one of which was due the evening before. I am glad that you are getting along with the bill, and I hope it may not get lost in the long route it has to take to get through. Don't let it fail in any event. I am going away from home to-day, and will not return until you will have adjourned. You will oblige me by writing on Wednesday to me at Bloomfield Perry County, and letting me know concerning it. With my Especial thanks for the kind and prompt attention you have given me during your legislative career, and my best wishes for your future happiness and prosperity. I am [one word illegible] Yours truly A K McClure Col
