Philadelphia Feb. 6 -- Samuel Williams, the colored man charged with misdemeanor in giving notice to the fugitives slaves about Christiana of the coming of the officers, which led to the murder and riot there, was this morning acquitted by a verdict of the jury. Judge Kane, in his charge to the jury was quite severe upon Gov. Lowe, of your State, for the manner in which he spoke of the late treason trials. The prosecutors by the United States in relation to this affair have so far proved mere smoke, and as no jury can be obtained in Lancaster county to convict those charged with the murder, the same farce will be played there.
