New Georgia legislature assembles in Milledgeville

The George state legislature assembled for its new session in Milledgeville.  The senate elected Legrand Gerry as its president and the state house chose Isaiah Irving as its speaker.  The assembly then settled down to hear the message from the governor.  (By John Osborne)
