PERRY COUNTY, situated in the westerly part of Tennessee, and traversed by Tennessee river. Area, 780 square miles. Seat of justice, Perryville. Pop. in 1820, 2,384; in 1830, 7,038; in 1840, 7,419; in 1850, 5,822. (Fanning's, 1853)
