CASS COUNTY, situated towards the northwest corner of Georgia, and traversed by Etowah and Oostanaula rivers. Area, 600 square miles. Seat of justice, 
Cassville. Pop. in 1840, 9,390; in 1850, 13,300.  (Fanning's, 1853)
