LAURENS COUNTY, situated toward the southeasterly part of Georgia, and traversed by Oconee river. Area, 780 square miles. Seat of justice, Dublin. Pop. in 1810, 2,210; in 1820, 5,436; in 1830, 5,589; In 1840, 5,585; in 1850, 6,422. (Fanning's, 1853)
