TELFAIR COUNTY, situated in the southerly part of Georgia, and traversed by Ocmulgee river. Area, 950 square miles. Seat of justice, Jacksonville. Pop. in 1810, 744; in 1820, 2,104, in 1830, 2,136; in 1840, 2,763; in 1850, 3,026. (Fanning's, 1853)
