Spanish defeat the Moroccans at the Battle of Catellijo

The Spanish invasion of Morocco had as one of its first objectives the town of Tetuan.  The Moroccans made an attempt to halt this advance at Castellijo and were defeated but not without inflicting heavy casualties on the Spanish cavalry.  (By John Osborne)
