Aaron Stevens found guilty in Virginia for his part in Harpers Ferry Raid
Aaron Dwight Stevens, one of the last two of John Brown's men tried for their role in the Harpers Ferry Raid, was found guilty on all counts in a court in Charlestown, Virginia. The jury took fifteen minutes to render their verdict. Stevens and his fellow raider Albert Hazlett were hanged together in Charlestown on March 16, 1860. (By John Osborne)
