Fire burns a cotton press and two thousand bales of cotton in New Orleans

 At the Orleans Press Yard in New Orleans a destructive fire burned a machine shed and its press along with two thousand bales of cotton.  Total damages rose to the region of $200,000.  (By John Osborne)
