In cricket, the St. George's Club of New York City lose their first match of the season

The St. George's Cricket Club of New York City hosted the Albany County Club from the state capital at their ground in Hoboken.  The visitors inflicted the first loss St. George's had suffered all year by a crushing innings and thirty runs.  Following the match, Albany was hosted at a banquet in the St. George's club house.  (By John Osborne)
