In New York baseball, the Atlantic and Mutual Clubs meet in Hoboken

The Atlantic and the Mutual baseball clubs of New York met at the Elysian Fields in Hoboken.  The more famous Atlantics were using the game as a warm-up for their upcoming fixture against the even more famous Excelsior Club of Brooklyn.  Although the Mutuals reportedly gave a good account of themselves, the result demonstrated the experience and the standing of the Atlantic Club, as they emerged as winners by a score of  35 to 15.
