Located at 98-196 Freedom Rd, Williamsport, PA. Daniel Hughes helped create the Freedom Road Cemetery in the middle of the nineteenth-century by donating part of his own land to become a cemetery for African-Americans. Nine black Civil War veterans are buried here. (By Rebecca Solnit)
