In Naperville, Illinois, summing up begins in sensational Chicago elite divorce case

Summing up began in the three week divorce case of Isaac Burch, leading Chicago banker, against his socialite wife Mary, who was niece and heiress to railroad magnate Erastus Corning, for multiple instances of adultery. The sensational case attracted newspaper men from all over the country who filed multiple column reports while highly paid lawyers represented each side.  In the end, Mrs. Burch was exonerated of the charges.
