The Second Regiment of the Connecticut National Guard wound up its summer camp with a review and a dress parade at Camp Russell outside New Haven. The festivies began at four o'clock in the afternoon with a dress parade two hours later before their dismissal and the annual banquet celebrating the regiment's forty-ninth anniversary. The camp broke up the following day. (By John Osborne)
