Diplomats from Tunisia on their way to Washington D.C. visit New York City

On the way to Washington, D.C., the new Tunisian ambassador, General Hashem and his party, spent a few days in New York City, staying at the Astor House. The United States Navy arranged for a visit to the Brooklyn Naval Yard during which the yard commandant, Admiral Bell, gave the party a personal guided tour.  Hashem also met with the mayor of New York during the visit.  (bY John Osborne)
