Kansas Republicans win crushing victories in the state and federal elections.

The Kansas elections resulted in a complete victory for the Republican slate of candidates.  Governor Samuel J. Crawford was re-elected with more than two-thirds of the votes cast and became the first Kansas governor ever re-elected while the Radical Republican U.S. Congressman Sidney Clarke was re-elected 19,201 votes to 8,106.
