CENSUS REVELATIONS IN SOUTH CAROLINA.
A census is now being taken in South Carolina which will bring to light some curious an suggestive facts as to the relative increase of the white and black races. It is stated that in seventeen parishes in which the enumeration has been made, there is a decrease of the white population of over 5,000 since the census of 1855, while the blacks during the same period have largely increased in number. Should corresponding results follow in the rest of the State, there can be no denying the fact that it is in a fair way of being Africanized. The opening of the Slave Trade would only precipitate a result inevitable anyhow.
