Lincoln holds meeting regarding 1860 election

Abraham Lincoln and his legal partner William H. Herndon met with Frank Blair from Missouri in their law offices in Springfield, Illinois.  The trio discussed plans to convince leading border state newspapers such as the Missouri Democrat and Louisville Journal  to support the Republican Party in the election of 1860.  (By Matthew Pinsker)
