ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, situated on the westerly side of Patapsco river and Chesapeake bay, in Maryland, with Patuxent river on the west. Length, 60 miles; mean breadth, 12, extending over an area of 720 square miles. The face of the country, in general, is agreeably undulating, with a varied soil, mostly of a secondary quality. Courts are held in the city of Annapolis. Pop, 1830, 28,295; in 1840, 29,532; in 1850, 32,393.
