BLACKFORD COUNTY, situated toward the northeast of Indiana, and watered by Salamanic river, a branch of the Wabash. Area, 182 square miles. Seat of justice, Blackford. Pop. in 1840, 1,226; in 1850, 2,860. (Fanning's, 1853)
