Our town was yesterday thrown into quite a commotion by one of our old and staid citizens stating it as a fact that a company of Lincoln men had just passed along on the train. This was hard to believe, but nobody was willing to doubt the veracity of the gentlemen whose character for truth is so well established, and the more especially as he asserted that it was true. It turned out that the troops, although Lincoln men, were not Abe Lincoln men, but were from Lincoln County.
