UNION COUNTY, situated on the east boundary of Indiana. Area, 224 square miles. Face of the country, undulating; soil, well-watered, and generally fertile. Seat of justice, Liberty. Pop. in 1830, 7,944; in 1840, 8,017; in 1850, 6,944. (Fanning's, 1853)
