DINWIDDIE COUNTY, situated in the southeasterly part of Virginia, with Notaway river on the south, and Appomattox river on the north. Area, 616 square miles. Face of the country undulating; soil varied. Seat of justice, Dinwiddie. Pop. in 1810, 12,524; in 1820, 13,792; in 1830, 18,637; in 1840, 22,558; in 1850, 25,118.
