Dissatisfaction at Walker’s Appointment.
ST. LOUIS, Tuesday, April 14.
The Lecompton correspondent of the Democrat says the appointment of Hon. ROBERT J. WALKER, as Governor of Kansas, gives great dissatisfaction. It is regarded as favorable to the formation of a Slave State. The instructions to carry out the census rouses general indignation. The letter also says that a spirit of violence and reckless lawlessness is beginning to be exhibited under the new Administration.
