    HONOR TO MAJOR ANDERSON.

ONE HUNDRED GUNS IN NEW-YORK IN HONOR OF MAJ. ANDERSON.

Last evening, between the hours of 6 and 7, the people – really the people of all parties and sections – assembled in the Park to do honor to Maj. ANDERSON, and fired one hundred guns for the noble stand he has taken in favor of the Union, by evacuating Fort Moultrie and possessing himself of Fort Sumter. Some very prominent Democrats, we understand, and one leading Democratic member of Congress, were at the “head and front” of the proceeding. But, in fact, everybody was pleased with tribute to ANDERSON’S great move on the political chess board.

    PHILADELPHIA, Wednesday, Jan 2.

Three salutes of thirty-three guns each will be fired in different sections of the city to-day in honor of Major ANDERSON.

    TRENTON, Wednesday, Jan 2.

Yesterday noon twenty-one guns were fired in honor of Major ANDERSON for the noble stand taken by him.
