PENDLETON COUNTY, situated on the northeasterly boundary of Kentucky, with Ohio river on the northeast, and traversed by Licking river. Area, 450 square miles. Face of the country, broken; soil, sterile. Seat of justice, Falmouth. Pop. in 1810, 3,061; in 1820, 3,086; in 1830, 3,866; in 1840, 4,455; in 1850, 6,774. (Fanning's, 1853)
