CLINTON COUNTY, situated toward the south part of Michigan, and watered by Grand, Maple, and Lookinglass rivers. Area, 576 square miles. Seat of justice, De Witt. Pop. in 1840, 1,614; in 1850, 5,102. (Fanning's, 1853)
