Invading Spanish troops enter the key Moroccan town of Tetuan

Invading Spanish forces under Marshal O'Donnell had struck at a major Moroccan camp near Tetuan and dispersed the Moorish forces, capturing much of their equipment.  This left the important city unprotected and the Spanish entered unopposed two days later.  Their occupation lasted until May 2, 1862.
