SAINT FRANCIS COUNTY, situated in the easterly part of Arkansas, with White river on the west, and the Saint Francis on the east. Area, 1,080 square miles. Seat of justice, Mount Vernon. Pop. in 1830, 1,505; in 1840, 2,499; in 1850, 4,479.
