CATAHOOLA PARISH, situated toward the easterly part of Louisiana, and watered by Catahoola lake, and Cataboola and Washita rivers. Area, 2,100 square miles. Face of the country generally flat, and partially subject to annual inundation. Seat of justice Harrisonburgh. Pop. in 1830, 2,581; in 1840, 4,955; in 1850, 6,982.
