CABARRAS COUNTY, situated in the southern part of North Carolina. Area, 300 square miles. The face of the country is mountainous and broken, with a soil of middling quality. Seat of justice, Concord. Pop. in 1820, 7,228; in 1830, 8,796; in 1840 9,259; in 1850 9,747.
