America's best trotting horses meet for a second time at the Union Course on Long Island

The country's two most famous trotting horses, Flora Temple, driven by J. McCann and George M. Patchen driven by D. Tallman, raced their second three heat series before a large crowd at the Union Race Course on Long Island.  At the first meeting the week before Flora Temple beat the stallion over all three races, breaking her own world record time in the process.  This time, against the odds, the male horse was victorious (By John Osborne)
