THE FOURTH AT JOHN BROWN’S HOME. – A letter in the Burlington Free Press states that a grand demonstration is to be made at North Elba, on the Fourth of July next. – The letter says:
“The great rock overlooking his grave is to be used on that day as a temporary pulpit, from which a funeral oration will be pronounced by the eloquent Rev. Luther Lee, D. D., of Chigrin [Chagrin] Falls, Ohio. I learn too, that Wendell Phillips, Rev. H. H. Garnett, and other distinguished public speakers, are expected to be present on the occasion. Numerous friends of the enslaved, from Massachusetts, Vermont and Ohio have signified their intention to participate in the celebration.
