Clark, William

William Clark was born in York County, Pennsylvania in January 1837 and served as a private in the United States Colored Troops. He enlisted in Company E, 24th USCT on February 9, 1865 in Lancaster. Clark trained at camp William Penn and served for almost eight months before being mustered out of service on October 1, 1865. His pre-war occupation was as a laborer. While the date of his death is unclear, Clark was buried at York Cemetery in York, Pennsylvania. (By Jake Rainwater)
