Another huge Republican rally, this time in Jersey City, New Jersey

New Jersey Republicans held a massive evening meeting in Jersey City.  After a torch-lit parade, New Jersey Senator John Ten Eyck spoke, warning all party members to be watchful of Democratic electoral fraud. Governor William Pennington urged everyone there to work to their utmost to make sure of a Republican victory in November.  Newspaper reports put the crowd at more than 6,000 people, the biggest gathering ever in the town.  (By John Osborne)
