Gardner, Samuel

Samuel Gardner was born in Wilmington, North Carolina around 1825 and served in the United States Colored Troops during the Civil War. According to his service records, Gardner worked as a carpenter before he joined Company G of the 27th USCT in Cleveland, Ohio on February 15, 1865. Gardner was mustered out in Smithville, North Carolina on September 21, 1865. (By Don Sailer)
