Maxwell, William

William Maxwell was born at Peach Bottom in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania around 1845 and served in the United States Colored Troops during the Civil War. According to his service records, Boyer worked as a laborer before he joined Company K of the 32nd USCT in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania on March 4, 1864. Maxwell’s military service ended on August 22, 1865 while at Hilton Head, South Carolina. (By Don Sailer)
